Expression Studio 3 - Come and get it!

The trial version of Expression Studio 3 is now live and although it's not quite available to purchase yet, the trials are a full 60 days this time, so that's plenty of time to put all the new features through their paces. You can checkout SketchFlow and behaviors in Expression Blend, SuperPreview in Expression Web, the screen capture feature of Expression Encoder (and they're just my personal favorites!) We're working hard to get the applications available on MSDN too - won't be long... Don't forget to let us know what you're building with them, we're always looking for content for the community site and case studies for the main Expression site.

    Hi,
Since Expression Media is being spun out of the suite....will we be seeing version 3 of this product soon? I think it would be helpful to the former IView and now Media community to get some sense of the direction that MS is taking this product. It would certainly put a lot of the useless speculation to rest.

Well I think the 2 biggest takeaways for that community is one, to look where it now resides, where it surely belongs on the Pro photo site and secondly to remember that a service pack was only recently released.
As I hope people can acknowledge, we don't talk about future versions of any product until there's something to say, like an announcement or a launch.
As a keen photographer myself, and an Expression Media user too, I'm delighted that it's "in the right hands"...

I agree that it belongs in the Pro photo site. It is just that I would have thought that a definitive statement as to what MS's plans were would really solidify it's position. Another area that would benefit from more clarity would be the interaction with Capture One. The combination of the two programs working well together in a well thought out workflow could be devestating to the competition(Lightroom). I have relegated Lightroom to a lesser role in my workflow because Capture One is a far superior raw developer and Media is the best at what it does now. You can see the workflow that I have developed(http://www.onehorsestudio.com/Goodies/C1_EM2-Workflow.pdf). It is still a work in progress. There are just a few areas that improving the interaction between these two programs that would really put the combination over the top.
I feel that people just want to be reassured that the time and money they have invested are not going to be for naught. That
As to upgrades....you can never get'em out fast enough......SP2 today....3 should be here next week;0)
    Thanks for your comments.

    Best Regards,
    Greg Boyer
